inPress Releases

MEDIA ADVISORY
April 6, 2022

ROCKFORD, Ill—Northern Illinois Hospice, the region’s most experienced hospice provider, has expanded its service area to serve DeKalb County.

Northern Illinois Hospice was the first community hospice provider in this region and one of the first 50 hospices in the nation. The agency serves Winnebago, Boone, Ogle, Stephenson, and Western McHenry counties and is thrilled to expand to DeKalb County.

DeKalb County has a long history of embracing its community hospice. Its residents, health care providers, and nursing facilities deeply know the benefits and importance of high quality, end-of-life care. Northern Illinois Hospice and DeKalb County are the perfect match.

Our services include caregiver training and support; integrated therapies; medication management; help with daily living; medical equipment and supplies; emotional and spiritual support; companionship and assistance; and grief support.

Our staff in DeKalb County are all from that community which will enable us to have excellent response time. Since 1979, we have continually added to our expertise in providing guidance, care, and support that best fits our patients and families needs during life’s final months.
